A tool for men walking free
PureGuard runs quietly on your devices and blurs explicit and suggestive content in real time — on social media, in browsers, everywhere it can reach. $5 a month, or free if you can’t afford it.
No card required for the free tier. No public counter, no shame, no hand-offs.
Most men struggling with pornography aren’t hunting for it. They’re scrolling Reels, TikTok, X, and Reddit when something suggestive lands in front of them — and the next ten minutes go somewhere they didn’t plan.
Every existing “blocker” either blocks the obvious sites (and misses the gateways) or treats grown men like children with loud red alerts that make their family wonder what they were doing.
PureGuard is built for the actual problem: the gateways. Quietly, on-device, in real time.
A small open-source vision model (about 6–15 MB) checks what’s on screen a few times a second. Nothing leaves your device — no images, no video, no browsing history.
Explicit content gets blocked outright. Suggestive content on Reels/TikTok/X is blurred and the video pauses. A small banner says “paused — tap if intentional.” No noise, no shame, no one nearby can tell.
Pick partner mode (text-only count alerts, no URLs), an anonymous peer group, or a private AI coach for embarrassed users who haven’t told anyone yet. Uninstalling requires partner approval or a 24-hour cooldown.
Honest about what each platform allows. We don’t promise things we can’t deliver.
Full real-time blur on every webpage. Most consumption happens here, and we cover all of it.
Real-time blur inside social apps via accessibility overlay. Uninstall requires partner approval.
PureGuard Browser app gives you a filtered version of Instagram, TikTok, X, and Reddit. Native apps blocked or restricted via Screen Time. Optional MDM mode for unremovable install.
System-wide DNS filter plus browser blur. Tamper-resistant background service. MDM mode available for full lockdown.
Coming soon. Apps are in development. Sign up below and we’ll email you the moment your platform is ready.
Three options, one product. All three get the same software, the same protection, the same support.
Billed monthly. Cancel any time.
Two months free. Same access.
No card. No verification. We mean it.
The free tier exists because the men who need this most often have the least. There’s no quiz, no pastor referral required, no proof of income. You say you can’t afford it, you get the same product. That’s the deal.
Our mission
PureGuard exists to help men walk free. Half of every dollar we earn — after Stripe fees, hosting, and the basics of keeping the lights on — is automatically transferred to the Prodigal Sons Project, a faith-based ministry supporting men around the world.
Not “we’ll consider it.” Not “up to.” 50%, every month, automatically, with the Stripe transfer ID published on our public impact page.
No. A determined user with full admin rights on their own device can defeat any client-side filter eventually. PureGuard is built for the willing user who chose accountability — high friction, partner alerts on tamper, and unremovable mode if you opt into MDM. Marketing it as unbreakable would set you up for shame when you bypass. It’s a covenant tool, not a prison.
Yes — in browsers and on Android, full real-time blur. On iPhone, you use the PureGuard Browser app to access Instagram/TikTok/X/Reddit; the native apps are restricted via Screen Time. Apple doesn’t allow apps to read pixels from other apps, so this is the only path that actually works on iPhone. The web versions of those apps are 90% as good as native.
No. Alerts only ever say “Instagram flagged 3 times today” or similar — a count and a surface family. Never a URL, never a screenshot, never the content itself. URLs are not even sent to our servers. Privacy is non-negotiable.
Real and honest issue. We use a two-stage model: first detects anatomy/skin, then a context model checks if it’s a gym, beach, runway, art, or medical setting. There’s a sensitivity slider for the borderline cases. We test against synthetic safe datasets with hard accuracy gates before any release.
Because the men who need this most often have the least. $5 is enough to keep the lights on and donate generously to the Prodigal Sons Project; anything more would gatekeep the people we’re trying to help. If $5 is still too much, the free tier is real — same product, no questions asked.
A small team led by Seth Courson, with a clear mission to support the Prodigal Sons Project. We are not a venture-backed company. We will never sell your data — we don’t collect anything to sell. We will publish an annual transparency report.
Apps for iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, and Linux are in active development. Drop your email and we’ll let you know the day yours is ready.
Drop your email. That’s the whole form. You’ll get the same PureGuard the paying users get.
